This thermometer based on the reflection of radiation within its gold concave mirror is the unique solution for a contactless measurement on highly reflective products such as satin rollers in paper production, galvanized steel sheets, aluminum foil and other metal objects.

At a very short distance from the product to be measured, about 5 mm, the instrument receives the radiant heat emitted and reflects it back on the product several times until it reaches the heart of the pyrometer in concentrated form. The actual emissivity factor seen by the aircraft is then close to 1.

The temperature measurement starts from 0°C and rises to 500°C or even beyond with some technical precautions.
