C-RED 2 Extended Range (ER) is a very sensitive infrared camera (1300 nm - 2200 nm). It is the only camera on the market based on an ER-InGaAs VGA detector (640x512 pixels).
C-RED 2 ER combines extremely high frame rates (up to 600 frames per second in full resolution) with high sensitivity and a readout noise of less than 60 e-RMS.
The camera can be cooled down to -55°C with water cooling (no liquid nitrogen) for optimized performance.
C-RED 2 ER enables high performance scientific imaging in the extended SWIR range: while standard InGaAs detectors cover a spectral range of 900 - 1700 nm, the sensitivity of ER-InGaAs detectors is shifted to higher wavelengths (1300 - 2200 nm).
C-RED 2 Extended Range offers multiple built-in corrections that can be applied on the fly: bad pixel correction, 2-point NUC, etc... Without degrading the spatial resolution of the image, losing speed or restricting framerate.
By enabling light detection at wavelengths longer than the 1700 nm of standard InGaAs, C-RED 2 Extended Range opens up new application opportunities: fluorescence imaging, laser surveillance and detection for defense and communications, hyperspectral imaging for waste sorting, food or pharmaceutical inspection, thermography...
