The XVC-310 high-dynamic (>120dB) color camera from Xiris is designed for visualization and monitoring of TIG or plasma processes in orbital or narrow-gap welding.
Offering a highly accurate view of the TIG tip, weld pool and weld bead, it enables better welding control to correct material input (wire feed), gas flow, and electrode alignment and/or power variations.
Weighing just 80g, the XVC-310, with its 17mm diameter by 77mm long IP65 cylindrical body, coaxial connector and choice of optics (from 50 to 200mm), can be configured according to user requirements: working distance, field of view, remote application.
The coaxial cable on the back can be connected up to 10m to a controller providing a GiGE link via Cat 6 cable to a PC up to 100m away.
Supplied with WeldStudio 3 software (standard version or optional pro version), the XVC310 is touchscreen compatible and uses the interface's many tools: camera settings (exposure time, gain, frame rate, gamma function, etc.), video playback and recording, graphic overlays, data export (segments, areas, patterns).
CE, FCC and RoHS compliant, the camera operates at ambient temperatures of up to +45°C or +260°C with a water cooling system. Finally, a water-cooled
