The XVC-S vision camera from Xiris Automation Inc. has been designed specifically for submerged arc welding monitoring. It is ideal for industries with thick steel plates (or stainless steels) or long welds typical of industries such as oil, gas, offshore

Using a VGA resolution color CCD sensor, the XVC-S has a rugged housing optimized for arc welding environments with built-in illumination, air cooling and flexible mounting options.

Easy to use, it comes with a monitor and controls with ergonomic buttons for quick and efficient camera setup and reticle alignment. An operator can then safely view multiple processes from a central location.

Connecting simply with a single cable (up to 50 m), operators can see defects as they occur and make adjustments to the process in progress.
