To achieve successful bonding or lamination, the right adhesive is a must. Because polyol and polyisocyanate segments of polyurethanes are readily varied, it is possible to formulate adhesives with a comprehensive range of properties. With such a wide selection, manufacturers can find optimum bonding and laminating solutions from Covestro.

Our Baycoll® polyether and polyester polyols are designed for the formulation of two-component (2K) solventborne adhesives.

Adhesives formulated with Baycoll® polyols and Desmodur® polyisocyanates have high strength and resistance. They also bond to many substrates including wood, metal and plastics. They are used for bonding and laminating applications in the furniture, construction, automotive and packaging industries .

Baycoll® polyester polyols are particularly noted to provide polyurethane adhesives with good adhesion to a wide variety of materials.

Baycoll® polyether polyols stand out for their low viscosities and higher bonding resistance they impart to polyurethane adhesives.

The preparation of nonsolvent and low solvent content reactive adhesives is also possible with selected Baycoll® polyols.
