The DS600 RAM machining center has two different motors, 84 Kw. One is for the RAM boring and milling head, the other is for the turning device. Each motor provides high power and rigidity, features needed for the most difficult machining operations. The elimination of the gear transmission at the milling head has allowed revolutions up to 4000 rpm, resulting in higher torque and power.

The W RAM axis, having a diameter of 230 mm and a stroke of 350 mm, designed for intensive machining operations, is equipped with a refrigeration system and an irreversible pin locking device for increased rigidity. It has a U axis for managing the turning heads stored in the tool magazine.

The turning device has been designed in such a way that the watering liquid circuit passes through the tool carriage.

The new system allows a torque of 6000 Nm. This turning device is ideal for machining a wide range of work pieces with a turning diameter of up to 900 mm and allows the execution of all operations. Machining with flexibility and maximum qualities.
