SN100ECO - SnCu0.7Ni is a lead-free, silver-free and nickel stabilized eutectic tin-copper alloy, formulated
with raw materials of the highest quality. The composition of this weld complies with ISO 9453: 2014 (alloy 403) and RoHS directive. This makes our SN100ECO alloy suitable for different processes including:
-
Wave, selective and dip welding.
-
Component insertion and rework for surface mount technology for the electronics assembly industry.
The addition of nickel in small amounts gives the tin-copper eutectic wetting and flow,
properties that achieve excellent results in wave soldering at process temperatures
comparable to those used with tin-lead solder. The SN100ECO enables high productivity,
cost-effective and reliable welding processes.
The addition of Germanium in small, extremely controlled quantities (0.0050% - 0.0070), combined with
the beneficial effect of Ni on fluidity, brings the possibility of soldering without a bridge even with 100 pins
0.5mm QFP pitch. In addition, the wetting properties of the alloy are markedly improved and the production of slag is markedly reduced.
