For telemetry applications that do not have an adequate supply of electricity, the T-BOX line of low power and ultra-low power systems offers new capabilities for the remote monitoring of technical equipment.
T-BOX LP models can be powered by small lithium batteries or by a battery charged by solar panel, small wind generator, or any other external source. With unique standby/active algorithms for the processor, the T-BOX LP offers unrivalled operating performance on low power sources.
The system uses the infrastructure of the switched telephone network, GSM, or radio frequency, depending on the models and options.
Embedded Internet technology provides a new dimension to the remote monitoring of distributed sites without an electricity supply. With a power requirement of barely a few ?A, the LP100 and LP200 can operate autonomously for up to 10 years without maintenance. Just one or two lithium batteries are enough to power the entire unit. With PSTN modems, each T-BOX LP has embedded Internet technologies that enable embedded mini SCADA, sending e-mails, and FTP support to Web servers.
The LP300 is a low power “wireless” selective system containing inputs and outputs with power consumption of only a few hundred ?A to a few dozen mA. Generally connected to a solar panel supply, the LP300 communicates by GSM and/or radio. The combination of these communication resources enable medium and long distance networks to be linked.
