When you need to transfer goods from the ground floor to a storage platform or work mezzanine, it is essential to guarantee the safety of the operator and the loads. Installing a safety lock gate (also known as a interlock gate or transfer station) is an easy and effective solution to prevent the risk of falling.
But how do I choose the most appropriate gate for my situation?
If there are no particular constraints on the platform, you can use an tilting or a rather basic SG1 gate type.
If there are depth constraints on the mezzanine, a vertically sliding SG4 or even a folding sliding SG44 gate is the ideal solution: its sliding rear guardrail clears the entire depth of the platform. This means it can even be installed in particularly narrow corridors or areas.
For a platform with a low ceiling height, you should consider installing an SG5 folding up-and-tilting gate: its rails are grouped together, freeing up as much height as possible.
And if, in addition to having high loads, you need to handle them using a hoist, you need an SG3 lifting gate. Thanks to its inverted platform barrier operation, the space above ground remains completely free.
In any case, it's important to remember that an uncertified pallet gate gives you no guarantee of compliance with the standards in force. Instead, choose a pallet lock certified by a reputable inspection body.
AC2M interlock gates are tested and certified by APAVE and TÜV SÜD Product Service: double certification, double guarantee of reliability and quality!
