Precipitated calcium carbonate (PCC) is a chemical compound used in several industrial applications. It is made from hydrated quicklime with a high calcium content, then by the reaction of the sludge obtained, also called milk of lime, with carbon dioxide.
Can be coated or uncoated, precipitated calcium carbonate (PCC) allows the synthesis of particles with different crystalline shapes and which are characterized by their small sizes, different powder densities, high oil absorption, etc.
Thanks to its varied forms, PCC can be used as a functional additive in various products: inks, papers, rubbers, plastics, food supplements, pharmaceutical products, etc.
