The graded index POF shows nearly the same bandwidth like the standard silica graded index fibers. The advantage of the GI-POF is a simpler assembly.
The GP900/1000 is only applicable at 650 nm. The core of the GP120/500 is perfluorinated. Hence, a much less absorption is 0.19achieved in the wavelength range between 650 to 1300 nm in comparison
to the standard POF.
While the GP900/1000 can be assembled with standard POF connectors,
special connectors are developed for the GP120/500.
