The GYXTW model is a fiber optic cable that is meant to be used outside, perfectly adapted to aerial applications, suitable for communication between offices, metropolitan networks and access networks. This model can contain from 2 to 24 fibers. Both single and multi-modes are available.
Fibers are placed in a PBT sheath, filled with waterproof optical gel, which makes the cables more flexible, and provides better protection to the fibers. The sheath is surrounded by a waterproof tape that guarantees the fiber’s waterproofing. Between the outer sheath and the waterproof tape, there is a ribbon of corrugated steel that reinforces the cable. Two steel cables are placed paralleled to each other inside the polythene sheath (PE), which reinforce the cable against crushing and provides good tensile strength.
