The Siemens OXYMAT 61 gas analyzer works according to the paramagnetic principle and makes it possible, from a differential pressure value, to determine the oxygen concentration in the gas to be measured.
Thanks to the use of an alternating magnetic field, the initial flow of the reference gas is not taken into account by the detector, so that the measurement is independent of the position of the measurement chamber and therefore of the inclination of the analyzer itself. The volume of the measuring chamber crossed directly by the measuring gas is small; the micro flow sensor has an almost instantaneous reaction time, which gives the OXYMAT 61 analyzer a very short response time.
