INCREMENTAL ENCODERS, "WITH PINION FOR RACKS"

This seriers of transducers has been developed by Elcis for use in linear displacement measurements accomplished throught the pinion/rack method. This series includes several types of pinion-encoders, with and without the pinion pre-charge device.

Several types of pinions, combined with various inner disk resolutions yield a resolution range from 1 mm to 1 micron.

High reliability is assured by use of LED light source (100000 hours minimun operating life), push-pull connection of detecting phototransistors, professional components, accurate design engineering, remarkable mechanical sturdiness, extended tests at high and low temperatures and special alignment in the standard room, by using Hewlett Packard Laser interferometer.

All-metal construction from turned and milled metal bar and sheet, precision ball bearings (ABEC 5), stainless steel pinion, good sealing and protection against severe environmental conditions (like oil, moisture, dust) assure extended and reliable operation, even in wide tempetature ranges.
