Folding stairways with an access island and lift gate for access to tank domes are CPE (collective protection equipment) devices designed to protect operators when working at height on a vehicle, whether for maintenance, washing or taking samples.

Access to the work area is limited by a lift gate, which signals to the driver whether or not he can approach. Once the gate is open, the driver is able to drive underneath the access platform. The lift gate closes to prevent the vehicle from leaving unexpectedly during the operation.

When the tanker arrives and moves into position, the operator can easily unlock it and fold it down onto the dome. The presence of a retractable guardrail and a deformable staircase provides easy access to the dome of the tanker, road container or wagon, reducing the risks of falls, unevenness and accidents at work. Working in complete safety is possible for the operator. Once the work is finished, he closes the folding stairs and locks them. Only now is the lift gate raised to allow the truck to depart.
