Presentation

Tankers are often loaded using a loading arm installed on a fixed platform. To be able to work in complete safety, the operator must not only secure his environment, but also allow the loading arm unhindered access to the vehicle.

With this in mind, AC2M has developed its special loading arm folding stairways. These are "conventional" folding stairs with a separate compartment specifically for the loading arm. On reaching the work platform, the operator unlocks the foldingstairs and positions the overhang on the surface of the vehicle. This gives access to the safety cage and the space for the loading arm. The operator can then pass the loading arm over the vehicle and carry out his work while protected. At the end of his work, he leaves the overhang to climb back onto the work platform, pulls out the loading arm and raises and locks the folding platform.
