Fields of application

• Positive: Maintaining thermosensitive products at a temperature of between 2 and 8°C in autonomous packaging.
• Ambient: Maintaining thermosensitive products at a temperature of between 15 and 25°C in autonomous packaging.

Characteristics

Hydratable Icepacks (Hydracell) consist of supple, refrigeratable strips made with small hydratable cells that absorb water and convert it into an eutectic gel. This special material enables the absorption of water but traps the gel in the cell. Once frozen, the Hydracell strip stays supple thanks to the meshed cells and can easily surround products to be preserved.

• Supplied in rolls of 1000 sheets of 12 cells
• Each cell absorbs 37g
• Total weight before hydration: 16kg. Total weight after hydration: approx. 380kg

Usage

• Positive: Dip the strips in water for 10 minutes and put them in the freezer for at least 24 hours.
• Ambient: Dip the strips in water for 10 minutes and maintain them at the temperature of the product for at least 24 hours before use.
