On the basis of experience acquired over the years with the DR 3 & DR 4 models, this further development has been made to offer you a higher-performance machine from all points of view. The realisation of the “goose-neck” structure, together with a kinematic mechanism that uses mechanical parts of proven reliability (such as chromed shafts, supports on self-lubricating and ball bushes, adjustment movements with trapezoidal screws and the innovative use of an adjustment system normally employed by machine tools with 6 series of 4 adjustments on slots with mechanical screw adjustment device), makes positioning reliable and reproducible with extreme precision. In line with PROFTEQ tradition, the option is provided of having two different upper milling head unit tilting angles (0° - 7°), thereby making the machine suitable for machining highly demanding profile sections (up to max height 200 mm.) The machine has a compact structure which does not take up a lot of room, notwithstanding the extensive operating range. This makes for easy positioning even in very small work areas. The machine can be fitted out with HF (high frequency) motors of the PROFTEQ type at 18000 rpm with 500 W of power supplied by an inverter. Thanks to the use of both these solutions together, maintenance operations normally required on 220V manifold motors (type DR 3 & DR 4) are eliminated and reliability increases exponentially.
