Welcome to Bolt Load Measurement !
TRAXX-M2 :
Ultrasonic bolt tension meter optimizes tightening by measuring the elongation produced by tightening a threaded fastener. It accurately gauges the elongation in fasteners made from virtually any material, ranging from 5mm to 14 meters in length. With TRAXX-M2, you could :
-
Reach optimal bolt load when you put together any bolted assemblies
-
Anticipate future incidents related to excessive or insufficient fastening by monitoring the behavior of your assembly in real-time and during long-term maintenance
-
Lighten and perfect your prototype designs during conception with the bolt load measurement feature

How it works ?
The TRAXX-M2
Bolt Tension Monitor provides a precise means to monitor bolt tension by employing ultrasonic measurement technique to assess the elongation (alteration in length) of bolts. This device facilitates periodic re-evaluation of bolt conditions, allowing for the continual assessment of bolt connection integrity and quality over time.
The operator utilizes the instrument to measure the length of a bolt or fastener both prior to and after tightening, facilitating the calculation of the delta or change in length. The on-board microcomputer autonomously interprets these measurements, presenting real-time data on parameters such as time (nanoseconds), elongation, load, stress, or strain incurred during the fastener stretching process.
In which situations should the TRAXX-M2 be used ?
In the short term, observe the behavior of a threaded assembly in real-time. This allows you to study the behavior of your threaded assembly « in action » in the most critical situations. Thus, you will understand the variations in forces to which your screws are subjected and deduce the mechanical limits of the assembly. In real-time, the TRAXX-M2 monitors the behavior of dozens of screws simultaneously, conducting several hundred measurements per second.
In the long term, it monitor the behavior of a threaded assembly over 1 year, 5 years, 10 years. This method is common in maintenance tightening services and quality monitoring. TRAXX-M2 device stores and preserves the tightening data of each screw: the screw’s identifier, its characteristics, the date and time of tightening, and the applied tension. These data are exploitable to track the evolution of screws over time. This allows precise control of the work performed, traceability of operations, analysis of results, and scheduling of maintenance tightening tasks.
