The Alcatel-Lucent 1540 Litespan Multi-Service Access Node is a robust, scalable multivendor-compatible access node, which supports multiple transport technologies such as Ethernet, ATM, SDH or PDH, and enables service providers to offer any mix of revenue-generating services. Alcatel-Lucent has announced the integration of the technology of its market-leading ISAM (Intelligent Services Access Manager) product family into the 1540 Litespan. With this integration, service providers will now be able to offer their customers user-centric triple play services, including IP based video. Furthermore, to complete this offering, the Alcatel-Lucent 1540 Litespan MSAN supports the smooth evolution of legacy voice lines towards NGN- or IMS-based Voice over IP.
