Tetra Pak® Surge Hopper VT is specifically designed to store and/or weigh powder or granulated products.

Its full stainless steel sanitary design is suitable for the food, plastic and chemical industries for products with MIE > 3mJ.

Working principle

For storage and weighing applications, Tetra Pak® Surge Hopper VT can be fed either by gravity or by a pneumatic conveying system.

The hopper is grounded / earthed to prevent any generation of electricity.

Once inside the hopper, extraction of the product is assured thanks to cold-rolled 304 stainless steel sheets with 2B finishing, continuous and regular interior welds polished with 150 grain, and interior surface smoothness RA < 0.8.μ.

The shape of the cone is designed according to the flowability of the product.

Depending on the product characteristics and hopper capacity, specific extraction devices can be adapted (vibrating bottom, fluidizing system…).
