The BACKUP is a mobile fall arrester designed for installation on a static rope conforming to EN 1891. It is specially designed to ensure the user's safety during ascent and descent, and to effectively arrest a fall.

When the activation button is pressed, the device operates in “ascent” mode only. It can be used as a work positioning device in accordance with EN 358, or as a fall arrester in accordance with EN 567.

The key features of the device are as follows:

Compliant with EN 353-2, it is a mobile fall arrester adapted to a flexible belay support.
It is equipped with an opening and closing connector, in compliance with EN 362.
The device is supplied with a 10.5 mm diameter polyamide braided static belay rope.
It features a stitched loop with a C1 connector with manual locking by means of an 18 mm opening screw at the upper end, and a locking knot at the lower end.
The main material used in its manufacture is stainless steel, guaranteeing durability and strength.
In terms of aesthetics, the device is predominantly black with orange elements for improved visibility.
