To round-off its product line, KURZ also sells signature foils that can be effectively signed on by means of biros, ballpoint pens, and fiber-tip pens. These form a permanent bond with the card after it is stamped and make it counterfeit-proof.
By counterfeit-proofing, we mean the following:
-
Mechanical tampering: When rubbed-off or scratched, the foil will turn blue
-
Solvents: When coming in contact with liquids such as alcohol or MEK, either the foil logo or the entire foil smears.
-
Oxidating agents: Ink killers, correction fluids, and brake fluids cause the logo to fade and the signature panel to discolor.
KURZ-signature foils are available in the following designs:
-
White Transparent
-
Foils of all credit card organisations
-
Foils of many monetary and loyality cards
-
As a custom design with a customer-specific single image design or continuous pattern. (Also with UV-visible inks in various colors as an additional security feature.)
-
The Colorit P911 foil can be used as a low-cost alternative signature foil. However, it has no security features.
As with signature foils for credit card issuers, customer-specific designs are only issued to authorized card manufacturers.
