The Radial Optic 38 M from Leister was developed for rotationless laser plastic welding.
The Radial Optic 38 M is equipped with electronic components for quality monitoring in addition to the optical elements. The laser output is monitored as well as the position of the fiber in the optical system. An additional clamping technique is not necessary.
The Radial Optic 38 M is therefore suitable for radial welding of rotationally symmetrical parts that are difficult to rotate themselves. A conical mirror deflects the laser radiation onto the circumference of the components to be welded.
Components with a diameter of up to ∅ 38 mm / 1.5 in are thus welded in a simultaneous welding process. Radial welding with the Radial Optic 38 M from Leister is particularly characterized by short cycle times and high throughput.
