Industrial thin client PCNeousys Technology, an industry-leading provider of rugged embedded systems, announced today that its Rugged HPC Server RGS-8805GC was recognized among the best by the 2022 Military + Aerospace Electronics Innovators Awards. An esteemed and experienced panel of judges from the aerospace and defense community recognized Neousys as a Silver honoree.
"On behalf of the Military + Aerospace Electronics Innovators Awards, I would like to congratulate Neousys on their Silver –level honoree status," said Military + Aerospace Electronics Editor in Chief John Keller. "This competitive program allows Military + Aerospace Electronics to celebrate and recognize the most innovative products impacting the aerospace and defense community this year."
Neousys RGS-8805GC is one of the industry's first rugged edge HPC servers enabling field deployments. It is powered by the AMD EPYC™ 7003 series "MILAN" processor with up to 64 cores/ 128 threads and supports a high-end NVIDIA® RTX A6000 or A4500 GPU. Featuring -25°C to 60°C wide-temperature operation in a compact 2U 19" rack-mount enclosure at only 350mm deep, it is also shock/vibration resistant and accepts 8 to 48V DC input voltage. With additional PCIe expansion slots to install function cards for sensors, automotive cameras and LiDARs, the RGS-8805GC can provide an all-in-one system with sensing, perception, and planning functions for ADAS in unmanned ground vehicles (UGV).
"Most HPC servers can only operate in an air-conditioned room. But with Neousys' thermal design expertise, we were able to create a unique 3-partition enclosure for an HPC server to be deployed out of air-conditioned rooms, and into extreme environments. For military applications, complex calculations and analysis require processing time, and a rugged HPC server can overcome these problems. In addition, the RGS-8805GC can provide ADAS capability for unmanned vehicle applications, such as remote task execution in hazardous areas," said Chris Ni, Product Director of Neousys Technology.

Fanless PCTaipei, Taiwan – Sep. 8th, 2022 – Neousys Technology, an industry-leading provider of rugged embedded systems, announced its POC-451VTC, an ultra-compact in-vehicle computer with E-Mark certification for in-vehicle applications such as passenger information system, mobile gateway and surveillance. Powered by Intel Elkhart lake Atom x6425E processor and integrated Intel® UHD Graphics, the system delivers 1.8x and 2x performance improvement for the CPU and GPU, respectively, when compared to the previous POC generation.
POC-451VTC provides multiple M.2 and mPCIe slots to install 5G/ LTE, WiFi 5, WiFi 6 and CAN bus modules for in-vehicle applications. In addition, it supports Google TPU for edge AI inference. And to sustain optimal system performance in high-temperature environments, POC-451VTC has a dedicated conduction-cooled heat spreader to dissipate the heat generated by M.2/ mPCIe modules.
The miniaturized design also enhances system deployment flexibility. The compact 108 x 153 x 72mm dimensions allow POC-451VTC to be deployed into confined compartments inside a vehicle. However, even with a compact footprint, POC-451VTC still offers rich I/O connectivity with 3x 2.5GbE with PoE+, 2x USB 3.2, 2x DisplayPort, 8x isolated DIO, and also provides 8~35V DC input with built-in ignition power control.
"Neousys has been involved in the in-vehicle market for years supplying computers to world-renowned customers. As we continue to improve our products by solving customers' pain points, the POC-451VTC is one of the perfect representations of what we do. It features one of the best thermal dissipation designs optimizing performance to solve hot and harsh in-vehicle deployments," said Dennis Chen, product manager at Neousys Technology.
