Closed multi-cellular hollow spheres are produced from a volcanic raw material which is transformed into a white, inert material of large volume by a special expansion process.
It is a white, inert mineral of volcanic origin, characterised by multicellular hollow spheres containing a large volume. The apparent density varies according to the size of the particles between 100 and 210g/l. This characteristic makes it possible to reduce the specific weight of the coatings and thus their surface consumption.
Both hydrophobic grades for pasty coatings (surface treated grade) and hydrophilic grades (non surface treated grade) are available for hydraulic coatings or smoothing cements. The main uses are in lightweight sealants, body fillers for vehicle construction, as well as general weight reduction of surface products
