Magnesium oxide (MgO), is a white hygroscopic solid mineral that occurs naturally as periclase and is a source of magnesium.

High surface area calcined MgO is a highly reactive material for use in speciality applications such as :

  • Adhesives
  • Electricl Steel
  • Rubber & Plastics
It is used in many different applications:
  • as a scorch retarder in a variety of elastomers in the rubber industry,
  • as a thickening agent in sheet and molding compounds
  • as acid acceptor in halogenated polymers.

It can also be used as an anti-caking agent.
