The M66591 and M66592 are USB device controllers embedded with Hi-Speed/Full-Speed transceiver, compatible with the USB2.0 and applicable to both Hi-Speed and Full-Speed transfer modes.

The M66592 is a USB device controller that furnishes a small package and low power consumption, and is built to provide optimum use in mobile bus power devices. It is compatible with all USB2.0 transfer types, with the 5KByte FIFO settable to a maximum of 8 Endpoints. In addition, the 8-bit split bus (a DMA interface independent form the CPU bus) furnishes high-speed communications without exerting any burden on the CPU.

The M66591 is a device controller that adopts a small package and is specialized for bulk application. The 3.5KByte FIFO can be set for a maximum of 7 Endpoints.

The M66591 and M66592 were developed using original Hi-Speed USB-IP, they will provide smooth transitions for future moves to system LSI.
