The LED-Function-Test-Module VE0006 was designed for the sequential test in production environment of 1 up to 6 LED's.
Here self-illuminated objects in the visible area of light can be independently tested for color and intensity according to user defined specifications. Thus the module is especially suitable for functional tests or the quality selection of LEDs. Due to the high stability and resolution the test results are by all means comparable to common spectrometers.
From Firmware Version 8 the test of flickering LED's is possible very easily and reliable. Here among color and intensity the periodic time and the blink frequency can be detected.
The module can be used solely as analog sensor via the serial interface, however, it can also work via the digital I/O's as simple good/bad recognition. A parallel operation via both interfaces is also possible. As a good/bad application the device works with product specific parameters which will be configured by the user with a software tool included in the scope of delivery. These parameters are permanently saved in the device. The parameters of up to 15 completely different products can be defined and selectively tested.
A 16th product is reserved for an automatic compensation of the environment light before the actual test. This ensures the reliable operation even with changing environmental conditions.
