The Alcatel-Lucent 5340 Enterprise Communication at Network (ECN) product is a versatile network-based application running on the Alcatel-Lucent 8690 OSP. ECN is ideal for service providers looking for a consistent set of network-based business communication services for their enterprise customers. As such, it addresses all groups in the enterprise, including employees, administrative staff, managers and agents. ECN services are also accessible from all type of networks (PLMN, PSTN, NGN/IMS) as well as lines (PBX, fixed, IP-PBX line, VoIP, dual phone and mobile).
Furthermore, as a versatile application, ECN can be used to address diverse markets such as voice/multimedia VPN, IP centrex, wireless centrex, PBX trunking, dual mode phone, one number, and unified communications, among others. ECN can also be deployed by fixed-, mobile-, or fixed-mobile converged operators. For superior mobility its one phone/one number capability with the Intelligent Mobile Redirect/Voice Call Continuity (IMR/VCC) solution seamlessly supports hand-offs between enterprise WiFi and GSM networks.
What's more, ECN gives service providers a unique opportunity to reduce churn, increase revenues, and expand market share by responding to the main concerns of SOHOs, SMBs and large enterprises - concerns such as fixed-mobile convergence, consistent tariff schemes for all communications (inclusive of SMS and GPRS), control of communication costs, TDM to IP (VoIP) migration, as well as a unique point of contact for all communication services.
