The Model 108 Heated Sample Diluter dilutes an introduced sample gas of high concentration at a dilution ratio of 1:10 (standard) or 1:100 (optional) to allow linear measurement of total hydrocarbon concentration ratios greater than tens of thousands of ppm, up to 10% and higher. For faster response, greater range and zero stability, sample injection is the method of choice in this proven heated sample dilutor.
Model 108 is also used to minimize the negative effects due to highly concentrated interfering compounds and contamination and high water content. In addition, so-called memory effects, also known as hydrocarbon hang-ups due to condensation of heavy hydrocarbons and other condensed impurities in the sample gas can be largely avoided.
