The smooth-running rip fence with integrated auxiliary fence enables quick and precise operation. The ball-bearing guided jointing fence runs softly and without tilting on tempered courses - as -pre-cisely years later as it does on the very first day. Chamfers can also be planed in a flash, because any angle between 90° and 45° can be set quickly with the user-friendly one hand operation.
The quick and precise setting for the depth of the cut between 0 - 8 mm is actuated electrically and you are always kept informed by the clear scale. The centralised control panel, with the button for the depth of cut setting and for starting the arbor, provides the highest ease of use in the standard execution. The optional power socket and plug for feed operation can also turned on from here. The optional T544 control desk, that moves together with the smoothly running jointing fence, offers even more comfort and a better overview. The display for depth of cut is digital with a resolution of 0.1 mm.
It does not matter whether you are planing or jointing, the modern SUVA bridge guard above the cutter block is a quick and safe, adaptable protective device, which is valuable in practice. The machine starts with an automatic soft start and it brakes wear-free electrically when it is shutting down. The standard auxiliary fence is integrated into the main fence so that small, narrow workpieces can also be fed safely over the machine table. Furthermore, the console for the optional power feeder also comes as standard.
The TERSA solid steel cutter block Z2 on the T54 offers many practical advantages: The high running smoothness in the precision bearings and the exact positioning of the positive fitting reversible blades results in an extremely accurate cutting circle - and thus the best conditions for cleanly planed surfaces. The TERSA reversible blades are available in four different qualities, i.e. for all tasks, and the cutter block can also be delivered as a Z4 cutter block on request. Changing the blades takes less than a minute per blade.
