With the widest choice of tactile feedback, the Panel Encoder can be adapted to the application in the best possible way
The MRB panel encoders are used as manual setpoint device. Thanks to its low power consumption, the panel encoder is also suitable for battery-powered applications. Particularly noteworthy is the diverse selection of detent torques and push button operating forces. Also, impressive are its electrical connection options.
This variety allows combination with a wide range of control knobs. Thus, a small-diameter operating knob in combination with a high detent torque can ensure that the desired value can only be changed by a higher operating force. For example, this combination counteracts with unintentional change of present values. On the other hand, an operating knob with a larger diameter can provide the desired smooth operating feel, because a higher leverage effect acts on the fulcrum.
There are 2 different mechanical detents 16 or 25 ppr. or without mechanical detent available. If a lower resolution is required, this can be found in the MRS series.
The MRB rotary encoder offers the widest selection of detent torques. There are four variants, from smooth to very high detent torque. An operating torque remains in the version without mechanical detent.
Push button: With or without push button
The panel encoder has an integrated push button. The travel path is the shortest in the portfolio. To meet the haptic and / or safety-related needs, there are three options for the operating force of the push button to choose from. If a particularly long stroke is required, we recommend the MRT series.
