Hood Stretching Machine

Today, the hood stretching machine is the machine most commonly used for packing pallets with insulation material.

The required length and type of foilis placed on four fingers and welded. The fingers then move apart, stretching the foil. Finally, the fingers move downwards pulling the hood over the lifted pallet, and releasing the hood below the pallet.

Advantages

This type of packaging is relatively waterproof. Furthermore, the pallet is lifted slightly during the stretch hood application, which means that the stretch hood continues beneath the pallet thus securing the load to the pallet.

Pallet sizes

When switching from one size pallet to another, the foil has to be changed.

As an option, we can offer to supply a solution with automatic switch between up to three different foil sizes.

Extras

To make the pallet even more watertight we recommend that a sheet of foil is placed on the floor of the empty pallet prior to stacking.
