The LVS low volume sampler collects fine particles on sampling filters in accordance with EN 12341: 2014 (PM 10 and PM 2.5).
 
To this end, a vacuum pump draws in ambient air and the sampler breaks up the fine particles suspended in the air in a sampling outlet. The air containing the fraction of fine particles then passes through the filter, where the particles are collected and made available for evaluation or subsequent gravimetric analysis. The volume flow is measured with an orifice plate and electronically adjusted with an accuracy of ≤ 2%.
