In the field of electronics and electrotechnique, electromagnetic compatibility is essential. To enhance the EMC, technical measures can be taken, as for example the shielding of cables and lines. Shieldings serve to protect the conductors against external electric or electromagnetic fields or to prevent such fields from appearing outside the cables.
Woertz shielding terminals make it possible to establish an easy, neat and secure connection between cable shielding and grounding device. The connection to ground can be performed by means of a Woertz profile bar No. 4384, 4382 or 4383 or of a busbar F18.
If the earthing terminals - wich are in contact with the mounting rail - and the shielding must have a separate potential, an insulated mounting of the rail has to be made by means of a busbar carrier; the connection is established through a special earthing terminal on the Woertz profile bars or busbars 18 x 3 mm.
