Draw wire measuring sensors can measure in analogue, incremental or absolute mode, the movement and the speed of a component from its origin.
Draw-wire linear sensors operate on the principle of the wire stretched between a mobile and a free element. They consist of the wire element, drum, spring motor and a bearing axis, which can convert linear displacement to angular movement. The unwinding process from the drum generates the electrical signal proportional to the displacement thanks to the potentiometer or encoder.
