Greene, Tweed's L Rings are the perfect solution for applications requiring tolerance to intense pressure. Under pressure, the resilient L-shaped elastomeric sealing element deforms, transmitting...
“ These grades have a low yield strength in comparison with the tensile strength, but the yield strength increases substantially with both strain-hardening and bake-hardening. ”
Docol DP/DL grades are high strength dual-phase steels, with a 2-phase structure that gives a combination of very high strength levels, far beyond conventional mild steels, whilst retaining formability.
Docol DL has better formability than the corresponding DP steel with the same tensile strength.
Select these materials where you need very high strength levels to meet design criteria or high hardness for cutting/wear applications.
These grades can be punched, bent and sheared but the stronger versions need consideration on tooling design: much more force is needed to work materials of these strength levels. These grades would not generally be chosen where very deep drawing is required.
