GE's DeposiTrol products also allow cooling systems to operate at higher cycles and to use wastewater streams as makeup. The DeposiTrol SF and BL lines of antifoulants attack the complex deposits in once-through and recirculating cooling systems and can be used alone or in conjunction with other treatments.

The antinucleating and dispersing capabilities of these organic agents broaden solubility, permits over-saturation with respect to calcium carbonate, and aids in controlling scale formation.
