Chemically, clear mica is totally stable and inert to water, acids, alkalis, oils and solvents. Moreover, it is insensitive to atmospheric variations.
 
Electrically, clear mica has the following unique combination:
 
  • high dielectric strength with uniform dielectric stability
  • low power loss at high frequencies 
  • excellent resistance to electrical discharge
  • microwave permeability
     

Thermally, clear mica is relatively flexible, and can be cut, die-cut and/or punched.
