The MCRM20 bridge allows the high frequency measurement of equivalent capacitance and resistance of unknown impedance.
The main application is the moisture content of different materials.
This bridge is used in food industry as well as in cement production and utilisation.
CAPAAB has extended the possibilities of the MCRM20 measuring capacitance resistive bridge for measurement applications of the dielectric constant and loss of thermo plastics materials as the EVA (ethylene-vinyl acetate).
This weldable thermo material type is used to make pockets designed to contain liquids of various kinds (blood, plasma, etc.). It is therefore essential that the seal is perfectly assured.
The welding process uses a high frequency current flowing from electrodes placed on part and on the other of the two leaves soldering. The intensity of this reactive current is related to the material dielectric constant while the temperature rise is linked to losses at this frequency. The adjustment of this intensity and its application duration is essential for obtaining a fully viable weld.
However, given the variability of supply, and therefore these two essential parameters that are the dielectric constant and loss, it is therefore very important to know their value accurately.
