High resolution

RM Display Color 2501 / 2503 are universal color display modules with a 6.5“ TFT display. A resolution of 400 x 240 pixels and the 16:9 format offer excellent display possibilities. The transflective TFT technology guarantees outstanding readability in daylight and even in direct sunshine. The backlit display and keys provide for easy use, even in darkness. 4 keys and a pressure-sensitive incremental potentiometer facilitate entering or modifying data. The displays can be used in 4 mounting positions: 0°, 90°, 180° and 270°.

Functionality and flexibility

RM Display Color 2501 / 2503 are very flexible in industrial and mobile applications, they are equipped with a large input power supply ranging from 9 V to 60 V with operating voltages of 12 V, 24 V and 48 V. They operate in a temperature range of –30 °C to +65 °C. A special feature of the hardware is the circular 12-pin connector for directly connecting a camera or a Camera-Box 0401 to the display. The camera box can operate up to 4 cameras simultaneously in conjunction with the displays. The displays also have 2 circular 5-pin connectors used to connect to the CAN bus and supply power in daisychain fashion, so an expensive T-connector is not needed. In addition, RM Display Color 2503 has 3 analog inputs and 2 digital outputs.

Easily extendable using the C interface

RM Display Color 2501/2503 function as slaves or masters. The firmware generates and transmits cyclic and asynchronous CAN messages while the displays are capable of simultaneously responding to up to 130 received CAN messages. Additional flexibility is provided by your ability to modify parameter settings during operation as well as to parameterize other CAN nodes with the help of the displays. The firmware automatically recognizes PAL and NTSC video sources when operated with up to four cameras. An “open C interface” allows a customer familiar with C programming to extend the firmware by implementing their own control algorithms.

Configuring instead of programming

Display and key functions of the RM Display Color 2501 / 2503 can be easily programmed with the user-friendly RMsys Configurator software tool.
